And of course since I would say most of us are Mom's ..we may not see a lot of Blog traffic..as we will all be enjoying our special day!

And last but not least, Baba at BabasFarmLife has tagged me for 10 questions "you are Dying to Know About Me" Honestly, I doubt that anyone is "Dying" to know anything about me.. but if you are at least curious...I am reducing it to 4..as the first answer will explain why only 4 answers!




Four possibly unknown (by my blogger friends) things about myself:

1. Adult ADD (I am scattered!) I am that person that walks from one room to the other, and my task changes when I enter the new room.. staying focused does not come naturally to me!
   
2. In early 70's considered myself a bit of a "weekend hippie"..we had full fledged hippie friends who were "full time" hippies..and I am sorry that some paid high prices for that lifestyle choice.
   
3. I was married for 20 years the first time! I can say I am friends with ex and his wife..spend most major Holidays together with family.
   
4. I was my husband Ken's "first" girlfriend in high school. And my husband Ken and my ex Mike get along great, and even go on fishing trips together with our family.
   

And guess what? All who leave a comment receive the same honors and also ..tag your it!

Thankful Thursday... I am thankful for my Mom!

In honor of Mother's Day.. today I want to say... I am thankful for my Mom! She is the Matriarch in our Family..and I can honestly say, she is an amazing woman!

She lives here in Washington part of the year, and she lives in Henderson, Nevada the other part of the year. We tease her, telling her that she is bored here in Washington, where 4 of her 5 kids live. This is because her life in Nevada is full of active friends, and many soirees.. as well as her friend George (who I must say, treats her like an Angel)!

She is smart, and sharp and savvy, and kind of strong willed! My mother is in her 80's and a mother of 5, and loved by all of us, and our families.

I honestly think she could of done anything she wanted to, as she is a natural business woman. Like most women of her generation..she did not work outside the home when we were young. She did have a small business at one time, she had a darling Consignment Shop in the "little" town of Issaquah Washington.(not so little now!) ...and she later got her Real Estate License, which was a great opportunity to find great deals on houses!

She and my father did very well with finding houses, which they would do a little work on, and than add the new purchase to their little string of rentals.

My parents did not believe in using credit, something their generation learned from the real depression, and my generation and my kids generation can still learn a lot from them..(hmm... so could our government...)

Mom is a blessings to her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. When my first child was born, Mom said she was to young to be a Gramma, and said the grand kids could call her GG (short for .. Gramma Gloria)..poor Mom, she was immediately named Gramma GG, and has been so ever since!

So.. as I always tell her, I love you Mom!

I really wanted to show you all the full picture of Caleb.. as I cropped it for the "I Love Faces" Entry on Tuesday.. I love this picture of him sitting on the gate!
Caleb was our little cowboy.. he is now in 6th grade.. and loves baseball, and fishing!!! He will go fishing anytime he can.

When he was little he would come stay with us almost every weekend.. he is the oldest of 6 grand kids!

That is something to be thankful for!
