What a year!
I had a post that I had put together yesterday, and pulled it after reading it. I felt I was seeing a lot of negativeness in it. A lot of what I had said had to do with how last year ... (whew..I can say that now!)... went.
I read it to my girls last night...and was advised that yes, it did sound negative.
So rather then look back, and possibly sound like I am whining about 2009... I will look forward.
After all, I want to be the person with the glass half full...and hope 2010 will help that glass get filled a tad bit more!!!
I wish this for all of you as well.
Happy New Year!!!!

Jan, everyone's allowed a "downer" now and then. It helps point out the blessings that you may be overlooking.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Jan...I agree that it's better to look forward, rather than back. It's history...but forward is full of possibilities. Hang in, move on, and let's make 20-10 a great year. For me, it will be a struggle to live up to the words that I just typed....but, a gal has high hopes!
ReplyDeleteWell good for you! I'm a look-forward person, too. I know there is value in looking back (which is why people love to study history), but to me it's mostly spilled milk, and all I can do is learn from the past by remembering how not to spill it. (lol!)But sometimes, that just the way it is and there is nothing we could or can do to ever change the outcome of the past, so it really is best to just move forward towards more positive things.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed reading your blog over the past year and look forward to visiting her in 2010, too. I always appreciate your great comments when you visit me, too.
My wish for you if a year filled with happiness, good health, safe experiences, joy, peace, and lots of laughter!
Happy New Year to you, my friend!
~Lisa
Good therapy to write something negative, then scrap it and focus on the positive. Happy 2010!
