I have been enjoying my camera lately, to distract my mind from some difficult things that are going on in a family members life.
Recently I had signed up for a basic course in how to use my manual settings on my Nikon DSLR camera, and think it was worth every penny of the Groupon price I payed for it.
It is really challenging to use the different Aperture, ISO and Shutter Speed settings, so much to learn.
I thought I would post a few of my recent shots... what do you think?
My favorite is the hummingbird, he was almost asking to have his picture taken, as he kept buzzing around me.
I haven't posted in a while, so please comment to let me know you have come by to visit!

I just bought a Canon DSLR a few weeks ago and haven't really learned to use it yet. I am planning to take a University course on digital photography this summer. I never bothered learning the controls on my point and shoot cameras because automatic is so easy.
ReplyDeleteI adore your photos and the marvelous ones of humming bird and bee! I admire the heaer on your blog as well, an old barn? I am content using my simple cameras, Samsung smartphone and tablet & pocket size Nikon Coolpix that goes in my pocket. Seeing your photos could inspire me to go return to more artistic and more complicated cameras
ReplyDeleteNeat home grrown pics of birds and bees and such. Always envious of my more camera-adept cohorts. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have never succeeded in getting a picture of a hummingbird. I try every summer when I visit my daughter, Loved it and the bee.
ReplyDeleteSuper shots. I have just bought myself a Nikon, nothing as sophisticated as yours, but I could still do with a course! I'm taking it out today to get to know it better.
