Have you seen the movie Twilight?

We belong to Netflix.. it was our way of doing the "low cost" entertainment thing, due to this economic mess we are all in. The funny thing is we really rarely go out to dinner, nor go to the movies...so maybe this is a positive side of the negative!

Well of course I have read all of the "Tw
ilight" books in the series...oh you say they are written for teenagers, which I am not? Yeah, who cares!

So back to Netflix..so about 2 weeks ago I order 3 movies from Netflix: "Slumdog Millionaire" (WOW, great movie), "I am Legend"( scary, but really good) and "Twilight".

As you can imagine, the other half was not looking forward to watching Twilight, but finally agreed to be a good sport and watch it last night.

So, he puts the movie on.. and it starts
off with Paul Newman standing at a bar? I didn't know he was in the movie..wow, are they in Mexico? Don't remember that in the book...hmm? Huh, Reese Witherspoon? What, no top on and much younger than she looks today?

Gene Hackman, Susan Surandan.. ah..you got it, wrong movie "Twilight"! Better half says "glad you ordered Twilight"! He i
s a big Paul Newman fan..( me too, I don't care how old he is in the movies, he always looked good!).

So, if you have seen the other "Twilight" what did you think?

  1. There is another "Twilight"? :) Well that one sounds good, too. Bet your hubby was a happy camper! I saw the recent movie in the theater when it came out, loved it. Had never read the books though, so now I'm halfway through the FIRST one! I heard the book get better as you go. I want to see the movie again. I know people that are obsessed!

  9. I can read it all just fine and it sounds like something I would do!

ps...I'm 43 and I'm addicted to Twilight -- reading it right now for the 4th time through. I've watched the movie about 10 times so far and it's pretty darn good!

  10. Everyone I know loves Twilight - it defies age. I came by way of VGNO; not sure how this thing works yet. My better half doesn't like any of the movies I like - it's very annoying.

  11. I haven't even read the books yet - and really don't feel an urge to read them. Maybe I will pick one up at the library just to give it a chance.

  12. Evil Twin's Wife..just an FYI, the first one is kinda lame (girl does not give young women good role model, tripping over everything.. and no self confidence) ..it gets more interesting as you get into book 2 through 4..

  15. It comes up on my screen as funny little symbols too, I copy & paste it into my notepad and read it. :) I think it's the "webdings" font. Either way, when I look at it on your blog it's symbols, copied into my notepad, I can read it
AND I haven't seen either "Twilight"
